WAS MARTIN LUTHER RIGHT? JAN 13^TH, 2012

Pull the rug out from under me with many pedophile priests,

Then tell me that the bishops who hid them are not criminal cheats,

Then behave as if nothing has changed and everything is okay,

Instructions from the hierarchy and the bishops obeyed.

It’s not the church I’m worried about -- it’s the pedophile priests,

And the pompous protecting bishops who don’t care in the least,

Mortal sins with kids, hidden for years with a bishop’s help,

And powerless police unable to do anything but yelp.

Where is the international commission to investigate this?

But binding referendums are only held by the Swiss,

Therefore nothing will change and maybe Martin Luther was right,

Or maybe Henry VIII because no one seems that uptight.

WHEN SCARBOROUGH HAD LAND JAN 12TH, 2012

When Scarborough had land Jan 12^th, 2012

I remember Scarborough proud Protestant and blue,

With portraits of the Queen near every pew.

No Sunday shops, no music hops, no liquor on display,

Where the Lodges and the Legions marched each Victoria Day.

Where ensigns flew, Union Jacks too, unique uniforms on parade.

A raucous rush of pompous pride by pals from every trade,

As they beat the drum down Danforth Road on the twenty fourth of May,

Out to the country and back by Byng, again on Dominion Day.

Those were loyal times before the war for king and queen and all,

For more than a few, this love did cause, their ultimate downfall.

It did at Dieppe and D-day too like their seniors at the Somme,

They died for king and country; they did it for a song.

And soon they were forgotten, those who fought for king and crown,

Though those lucky to return had saved the country and the town.

They would walk again forever with their flags flying high,

Marching medals of the heroes that no one could deny.

Except the town of Scarborough was down on the drawing board,

And those fields and sheep and meadows didn't fit the grand accord.

No newcomers paid attention as the veterans vied for space,

And their parades of marching medals only had an old-time grace.

And Scarborough changed by day and night from a township to a city,

Old soldiers faded fast and few and no one had much pity.

And the immigrants came in wave after wave from places far and wide,

As the soldiers went to grave after grave with their flags and faded pride.

But still a few survive today and I'm sure they are not pleased.

'bout the changes to the town and how Scarborough had been squeezed,

From a township to a city where no one cared for esprit de corps,

So they amalgamated with Toronto and Scarborough was no more.

And culture clash and bureaucrat and ever changing rules,

Of mandarin and moguls and Tamils dressed in jewels,

While traffic roared and the buildings soared sometimes to sixty stories,

Where women wrapped in saris sashayed in all their glories.

They had lost the town without a fight, those men from long ago.

And everything was centralized; they said to save some dough,

But the authorities had lied again; it was all politically correct,

And no one marched, no flags did fly and no one did protest.

There are sometimes you still can hear it, the distant drone of pipes,

And men in kilts still carry on, just watched by boys on bikes.

They're just a faint reminder now of the many marching bands,

When those with flags and medals marched and Scarborough had some land.

Some Catholic dioceses have filed for bankruptcy protection, 

Because of the sexual abuse crisis scandal infection, 

Other congregation organizations have also filed, 

The list of protected pedophiles still secret though children defiled.

Compensation for the sins and crimes, runs in the $billions,

Crimes committed by sanctimonious priests -- not civilians,

The dominant climate of secrecy makes this subject taboo,

But within the church, this has long been organized and not new.

Comments on this explosive subject are mostly forbidden,

It crosses the line between state and religion and therefore hidden,

Reluctant politicians, police, lawyers, judges and more,

Know the weakness in our system and therefore know the score.

This is a reason why we should have binding referendums,

Subject so sacred not mentioned at political forums,

Conspiracies and religious crimes hidden for decades,

Behind media moguls and politicians on parades.

I don’t think the world will end this year but maybe the church,

They hid those pedophile priests for years and even today we search,

Transferred from parish to parish and maybe even hid in Rome,

A vast secret conspiracy that hurts through to the bone.

Pious pompous priests in colorful vestments down to the floor,

How could they be so wrong as they lock the Cathedral door?

And put up a For-Sale sign in order to sell the whole place,

To pay the bankruptcy and other legal bills right in our face.

We were so busy going to mass and confessions to them,

And they knew everything about everybody back then,

And now that the shame and the many sins have been exposed,

Still no known penance for pedophile priests that might have been imposed.

The names of those pedophile priests are very difficult to find,

Sinners hidden by bishops, cardinals and popes and that kind,

The children victims have grown up and are suing the church,

But the names of pedophile priests are still hidden as we search.

I think I met a pedophile priest last week but I’m not sure,

Dress in black with Roman collar seeking donations for the poor,

Was he one of the hidden pedophile ones that no one can find?

And why has it always appeared that the cops are disinclined?

It shows how inadequate our justice system has been,

Some of the names of pedophile priests have never even been seen,

Hidden by church establishment for some conspiracy reason,

Are they afraid that this knowledge might be religious treason?

They want to shoot up with supervision and lots of health care,

In various Insite free needle clinics here and there,

With their bought drugs and clean needles where the cops can’t stare,

And it’s all legal in BC and the politicians don’t care.

The government tried to close down that illegal-drug clinic,

The Supreme Court said they couldn’t just like any cynic,

And no one knows the reason why, except judges dressed in red,

And our federal politicians behaved like they were dead.

It seems like our helpless politicians can’t do this or that,

There’s something seriously wrong and no one is going to bat,

Are we ruled by the crowd that made killing unborn babies legal?

Dressed up in red Santa Clause gear to make themselves look more regal.

I hate to tell you this because I’m more than a little upset,

About the names of criminal pedophile priests, we still can’t get,

And the pompous bishops who still think that nothing has changed,

Just send pedophile priests to another parish as arranged.

Stories about pedophile priests fill the Internet these days,

Even the devil himself, couldn’t come up with a worse craze,

And then it gets worse as these priests are protected and hidden,

And the church wants all this Internet information forbidden.

Has my religion gone and betrayed me after all these years?

Their protecting pedophile priests from justice is one of my fears,

Has the world of my religion turned itself upside down?

And left me alone outside on the parking lot on empty ground?
