We elected the Conservatives and threw the Liberals out,
Expecting our new politicians knew what change was about,
Unfortunately, we’re only getting more of the same,
Has Brian Mulroney returned -- he of the GST shame?



No referendums or proportional representation on the board.
Just another disappointment when we thought we had scored
Therefore compulsory voting will never be even discussed,
And they look at death-with-dignity with absolute disgust.



The changes we expected disappeared quickly into thin air,
They have their own secret agenda in our political affairs.
If they were Liberals, we could understand but they’re not,
It looks like, the changes we expected will amount to squat.

The Americans and Canadians should talk about the border,
We’re lucky the long lineups of traffic have not caused chaos and disorder,
Can we protect ourselves from ourselves without the harassment?
Quietly without a big officious assignment announcement.



Surely someone can figure out a way to do this quicker,
Without another ten miles of regulations about liquor,
Or have more border agents checking cars, trucks and folks,
How important can it be if someone smuggles a few smokes?



Is it possible to get rid of the border completely somehow?
Where shoppers can come and go to those stores that are cash cows,
In this era of computers and credit cards and god knows what else,
There has to be a way, though I must be running on impulse.



And my snowbird friends who go to Florida each year would be pleased,
Their coming and going twice a year would be greatly eased,
Unfortunately we have appointees and employees who say “No.”
Guess we’ll have to get used to the lineup going to and fro.

The new Conservative government will not reopen the issue,
As though it was some insignificant and discarded tissue,
They too want to leave it all to the appointed Supreme Court,
But euthanasia is not accepted in that appointee fort.



They are going to continue with left wing Liberal crap,
Though the Liberals were thrown out and almost wiped off the map,
Disappointment on this level is difficult to explain,
My political party refuse it in the public domain.



Have the Conservative turned into carbon copy Liberals?
While those dying in pain with Lou Gehrig’s disease have funerals,
I thought that the Conservatives would fix these problems of pain,
But then add to the disappointment that we can’t even complain.

Appointees are not elected by Canadian voters,
They are selected secretly by their friends and promoters,
Their hidden agendas unknown so we don’t know what to expect,
But the politically correct say that this is all correct.



We can’t change our appointed Supreme Court organization,
Or decisions about unborn babies or abortion degradation,
But of course they say that you have all kinds of Charter Rights,
Therefore you have no reason to think or even turn on the lights.



Other appointees in Senate or the Governor General and more,
Don’t you dare speak up or the powerful left wing will roar,
Because appointees will not change in Ottawa and that’s their rule,
Appointees so special, they don’t even have to go to school.

If we have another riot that get’s out of hand and inclined to expand
Breaking windows burning police cars and we’re undermanned
We should call in the army with rubber bullets and big sticks,
Teargas and water cannon might be used to get the riot fixed.



But the politically correct would all shake their fat heads,
Because this kind of approach is something that they all dread,
Because rioters all have Charter Rights to do what they please,
It’s all, obviously, the cops fault and rioters will not be appeased.



Someone has to look at this to see when and if it should be done,
We can’t allow Toronto like London to be burned and overrun,
The army is not involved in a war at the moment so there!
And the would-be rioters are waiting for their next affair.

We need a whole lot of stuff that Trudeau’s Charter denies,
Changes that the politically correct absolutely despise,
Elected instead of appointed senators and Supreme Court judges,
I can see it all now as these appointees give themselves nudges.



Why are we trapped by this holier-than-thou Constitution?
The G20 rioters with rights are waiting with their solution,
But our appointed aristocrats say it couldn’t happen here,
And with Trudeau’s Charter of Rights, we have nothing to fear.



Trudeau’s Charter written for every rioter in the world,
Or terrorists, who may be enroute here with bombs to be hurled,
We need someone somewhere to write Canadians a better deal,
Sit down and write a new constitution now and no need to conceal.

At least she didn’t kill her babies with legal abortions,
But big building filled up to the sky with curious contortions,
A massive government welfare state full of entitlement,
Halls full of noisy kids and very little enlightenment.



Where few ever went to work because that’s the way it is,
Dependent on government programs and never a need to quiz,
Politicians of course, avoid this subject like the plague,
They prefer Queen’s Park or Ottawa where things are very vague.



And then add even more babies for a much larger welfare check,
That’s heat, hydro, parking, security guards up to the neck,
These ladies have what could be called a welfare-housing career,
It’s something that very few people know about or want to hear.
