Why get involved in conflicts somewhere far over there?
Crowded with strange long names where we don’t seem to have a prayer,
To save some despot dictator or replace him with another,
Some look alike relative or one of his despot brothers.



Why not leave it all to the UN and let them figure it out?
Their many weird representatives never seem to have a doubt,
We should send our soldiers to our Arctic to set up camp,
Instead of a politician on a mid summer ramp.



Then go and buy a few new US nuclear submarines,
And like the Russians, go plant some flags; whatever that means,
Because they say, the place is loaded with oil beneath the sea,
And eventually get some of that oil for you and me.

Why are Canadians forbidden to have propositions?
Is there something we could do; maybe apply to some commission?
We can’t vote for a Senator because they are appointed,
Without referendums, we can’t show that we’re disappointed.



We can’t have mid term elections or set date elections,
And where could we go to make our official objections?
We can’t have euthanasia or planned death with dignity,
Politicians and appointed judges think this is an indignity.



Could we have a plebiscite about an appointed Senate?
Or would that only show that we are truly desperate?
Was Trudeau’s Charter written in stone and can never be fixed?
Could we have compulsory voting and referendums affixed?

We each have a lifespan of X number of years and then we die,
We can’t change the value of the X and I don’t know why,
Because death with dignity is illegal, a sin and banned,
Supreme Court told Sue Rodriguez to obey their command.



Though she had Lou Gehrig’s disease and was dying in pain,
The political appointees had no pity though people complained,
I would like to arrange my death in twenty forty two,
With all my friends and family around so I could say adieu.



I’d like to have assisted suicide then at a hundred and five,
I shouldn’t worry about this because I’ll be no longer alive,
Trudeau’s Charter said we had lots of rights but not the right to die,
You can’t even die if you fill out the papers and apply.

When we finally throw out the Charter; this is what we need,
A constitution for only Canadians where we are agreed,
Binding referendums and death-with-dignity rights,
Proportional representation plus many plebiscites.



Written by Canadians for Canadians -- not the world,
Not for crooks, terrorists, bandits or those in the underworld,
But where do we find a politician with the guts to do this?
And get us out of Trudeau’s Charter and away from his abyss.



We need to elect the appointed Supreme Court and Senate
How do we encourage Canadian politicians to be zealots?
Elected Supreme Court judges – not politically correct,
Judges who think about the public and want to protect.

How could the holocaust of the unborn be a health service?
This objectionable conduct should make us all very nervous,
Who is sitting somewhere in a building making these decisions?
Concerning organized murder without questions or revisions?



There is something very wrong with this type of activity,
Carrying out an official murder in their selectivity,
And then it gets worse and is considered politically correct,
Decision of our appointed Supreme Court claiming respect.



How can we kill an innocent human life before he/she is born?
Legally officially and those who object are looked at with scorn,
How can we pretend that this is not even happening as we kill?
Where ladies can stay in fashion without contraceptive pill.

Canada’s vagrancy law was repealed in nineteen seventy two,
The law should be reformed now, reintroduced and called new,
To protect the public from aggressive panhandlers out there,
Though the politically correct will challenge the whole affair.



We need a system to get them off the streets and into jail fast,
We need appointees in the Supreme Court to ensure this law stays passed,
We need assistance in enforcement sooner rather than later,
We don’t need another loud soft-on-crime left-wing debater.



Tickets to squeegee kids that are withdrawn is not the way to go,
Too slow, too docile and the whole issue ends up in Limbo,
Why should it be so complex for our politicians to get it right?
Can’t they read the writing on the walls in black and white?

Canadians are not required to vote so they seldom do,
Politicians are not in a hurry because there’s no queue,
Same politicians seem to like it this way and want it to stay,
Because they’re not sure the voters will vote their way.



We should have a Canadian compulsory voting law,
They have it in Australia and it’s not considered a flaw,
It should be, vote or get at least a fifty-dollar fine,
Added to your income tax next year and so much for the bottom line.



Maybe then Canadians will realize they need referendums,
And not just the usual left-wing political memorandums,
But how do we get their attention and get them to change?
We don’t even know when our next election will be arranged.
