ONTARIO'S WOMEN AND MEN            SEP 26TH 2014

Quebec has had several referendums but we have had none,

It would be nice though if they allowed us to have only one,

We could have a referendum on death with dignity then,

Though this issue is hidden from Ontario's women and men.

It seems to be the religious crowd who are opposed to this,

And the politicians go along in case there's something they miss,

Sue Rodriguez got the word when she tried to arrange her death,

Not easy when you have ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) you can bet.

Why is this political issue so isolated from us?

Why are we treated like sheep on a very crowded bus?

Where doctor assisted death is only whispered now and then,

And is never discussed with any Ontario women or men.
