Canadians cannot elect our prime minister by name,
He is selected by his party friends which is not the same,
Therefore less than half Canadians even bother to vote,
The party selects their leader and the name they will promote.
Neither can Canadians elect Supreme-Court-judges,
Regardless of the odd illegal-drug Insite pledges,
And the system can’t be changed because that too is a sin,
No one has the guts to change it as we take it on the chin.
Because Canadian compulsory voting is not endorsed,
And Trudeau’s international Charter will always be enforced,
And if less than half of Canadians vote; is that so strange?
Canadians are also encouraged not to think about change.
